East New York is Brooklyn's easternmost neighborhood, historically its highest-crime precinct, located along the Queens border. The predominantly Black and Latino neighborhood has large public housing campuses alongside attached rowhouses. Cypress Hills to the north includes one of Brooklyn's largest cemeteries and borders Highland Park.
